I Am Responsible for the Energy I Release to the World.
Recently, I watched this very inspirational Youtube video by Prince Ea. He talks about choosing your friends with caution and how that affects the life you live or want to live. I can definitely relate to this lesson he is teaching and I know plenty of people that strongly need this mindset in their life.
For example, When I was in high school I had a best friend that was there for me a hundred percent of the time but was also the person that knew how to bring me down and would. I would constantly feel bad about myself and critique every little thing about me. It wasn’t until after high school when I realized how unhealthy it made me. Inside and out. Once I went my own path and made new friends, it was kind of a breath of fresh air. The friends I made never held anything against me and made me feel good about everything I wanted to do in my life. Not only that, but make me strive for more every time we are together or even over a phone call.
Also, there was one day that I was working and going through something personal and there was a lot of negative energy around me. It was just a natural reaction of what I was already dealing with and I was feeding into the negative energy that was around me and it was making everything worse. When this was happening, I was only getting more upset with myself about me feeding into that energy as much as I tried not to. I felt helpless and it was very uncomfortable because I’m the person that is always smiling and positive. Even though this is work and I can’t just walk away from it. It’s a prime example of how contagious the energies of the people around you are and how it effects how you do everything.
People that have helped me soar are the people that have pushed me to be better, remind me that I can do anything I set my mind to, and inspire me to be more creative in my journey. I am a very passionate and creative woman. I may not have all the answers but I know what I am worth. It took time to really accept who I am and who I want to be. Therefore, I am not going to let anyone around me make me feel like anything less.
Just remember, you cannot hangout with negative people and expect to live a positive life. Ask yourself, Do you want to flock or do you want to soar?
I fully encourage people to watch Prince Ea’s video below!
