If You’re Not Happy, That’s Your Fault.
Recently, there have been a couple of hiccups in going to Florida and doing what I really do. I wanted to figure it out myself before I asked anyone for help. The longer it took, the more I was getting stressed out. I was getting put down and being told that this journey isn’t meant to be if there are some bumps in the road. But, I didn’t want to believe it. I kept my hope and I kept doing my research.
Finally, I asked someone for some help on something for school and it all worked out. Finally, I felt a weight off of my shoulders. I have been keeping my eye on this goal for years now and it’s finally coming smoothly in the next couple of months.
The point is that it’s okay to ask for a little help if you can’t figure out what needs to be done or handle a certain situation. Also, that there will always be hiccups and bumps in the road to see how much you really want this dream of yours. If you just give up because someone else says so, that is weakness.
Oprah Winfrey: Was demoted from her job as a news anchor because they claimed that she “wasn’t fit for television.”
Walt Disney: Was fired from a newspaper company for “lacking imagination.”
Michael Jordan: Was cut from his high school basketball team for “lack of skills.”
They never said following your dream would be smooth sailing.. If it was, everyone wouldn’t be settling for a job that they come home complaining about every day and have a bad case of the Mondays every day of the week.
You never fail until you give up.
Stand by hope.
